Short version: we store what the product needs, encrypt what's sensitive, sell nothing.
What we store
- Account: email, display name, a salted password hash (scrypt — we never see your password).
- Your credit balance and generation history: an append-only ledger of purchases and per-render costs, so your spend is always auditable in-app.
- Channel OAuth tokens (e.g. YouTube): encrypted at rest, used only for the actions you approve — uploading your videos and reading your channel analytics.
- Operational data: your channels, videos, generation costs, and the analytics your platforms report for your channels.
Google / YouTube data
FarmDeck's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the scopes the product needs (upload videos, read your channel analytics), use them only for the features you see, and never sell or transfer this data to third parties. You can revoke access any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Third parties we use
- Hetzner — cloud hosting and storage (servers in Germany, EU). Your account data, encrypted channel tokens, and operational data live here.
- Google / YouTube — when you connect a channel, we publish your videos and read your channel analytics through Google APIs, under the scopes you authorize.
- Stripe — payments. Your card never touches our servers.
- AI providers (PiAPI, Hume, Anthropic) — your prompts/scripts are sent to generate your content.
- PostHog — product analytics (which features are used, where onboarding breaks). No advertising trackers, ever.
- Resend — transactional email (verification, billing notices).
Cookies
A session token in your browser's local storage keeps you signed in, and PostHog sets an analytics cookie. No ad networks, no cross-site tracking.
Your rights
Export or delete your account data any time by emailing hello@farmdeck.net from your account address — deletion completes within 30 days (billing records we must keep for tax law are the only exception). Cancellation alone never deletes data; deletion only happens when you ask.
